Yesterday I went to shop for things needed for OBS.
Didn't really finish buying everything on packlist, only bought clothes and shoes. Long pants are relatively easier to find than long sleeve shirts. I seriously cannot believe that so many shops don't sell long sleeved shirts. But anyway, still managed to get two long sleeve shirts. Why only two? cos my mum's principle of buying clothes is DON'T BUY TWO OF THE SAME SHIRT, so we've got to look for it one by one.
Something quite funny happened when we went to fox to buy shirt. My mum saw the wrong price cos there was a currency called 'P.R' something and it's at the bottom of the price tag, she simply took a glance at it and natually belived that was the price, which was only 16+. I was quite amazed then, how could a fox shirt be cheaper than that of a hang ten's? LOL when we went to the cashier then we got a shock, the two shirts we bought added up to $72, but it's too late so too bad XD. After that I went to see the price tag and I saw 'S$32' in the middle of the price tag. Haiz, stupid price tag, so misleading. but anyway $32 isn't that expensive, I felt quite lucky that it's only $32 and not anything more.
After buying the clothes we went to Vivo to buy 'shoes for wet activities'. LOL when I saw this on my pack list, only one type of shoes popped up in my mind: Crocs. I am one of those ppl who despised Crocs cos I found it ridiculous to wear some plastic shoes to places like shopping malls. But still, that's the only type of shoes that is waterproof and covers your toes right? Crocs might seem quite expensive for those who buy it for the first time, but I already knew although the shoes might look cheap, the price ISN'T CHEAP. When I tried those shoes, it gave me quite a special feeling that I can't really describe.(Like I am not wearing shoes?) Then when my mum asked me 'is it the right size?', I couldn't tell. Luckily the clerk told me the size fit my feet quite well(I dunno how he knew). After buying crocs shoes, I think I became more acceptant towards them cos they're not that bad afterall. So light and so comfortable...(and so ugly)
I feel it's a bit of waste to spend money on all this, such buying extremely thin long sleeved shirts so that I can protect myself from sunburn and not get heat stroke so easily. Well, it's not that I don't have long sleeved shirts in taiwan, but buying thin long sleeved shirts in taiwan defeats the purpose of buying long sleeved shirts because it can't protect you from cold, so I only have thick ones...
p.s I just realised I can't hand in my OBS form on tues. Friday I went to meet my pri sch frens so didn't go for medical checkup. Saturday When we went to the polyclinic in the afternoon, it's already closed. Sunday and monday it's also closed. And I'm supposed to hand in the form on Tues @@.
